A bookstore that doesn't lock you out
A first-party bookshop for digital books. It exists because every other reading platform either rents you the file, locks it to one device, or watches what you do with it. We thought there should be a better way — so we built it.

What we believe
Four ideas the whole storefront is built to protect. Break any one of them and it stops being the thing it's supposed to be.
You own what you buy
A book you bought belongs to you — open it on any device you own, read it offline, and still have it ten years from now, even if we're gone.
No DRM, ever
We sell watermarked PDFs, not locked files. No required app, no “please log in to read the page you already paid for.”
Your privacy matters
We don't track you across the web and we never sell your data. We collect only what's needed to deliver your books — nothing more.

One person, reading-first. No ads, no engagement traps — just a quiet place to buy good books and actually keep them.

Who built it
Valice Press is run by Emre Doğan as a sole proprietor — a serious one-person project, built in the open. Every architectural decision is documented in the behind-the-scenes posts, and every editorial direction in the reading guides.
Payments run through Paddle, our Merchant of Record — they process the card and handle the tax owed in your jurisdiction, so we never touch your payment details. After checkout, an Inngest + Cloudflare R2 pipeline stamps your personal watermarked PDF and drops it into your library: a plain file, yours to download or read in the browser.
